Following two extremely successful seasons for Twin Cedars and Pleasantville baseball, both schools can find their athletes’ names all over the Class 1A All-District Team lists. The Sabers had five kids make the first team: pitchers Otis Roby and Coy Moore, catcher Hunter Embray, outfielder Brent Parker, and Sabers’ third baseman, Corey Harrell. Both Drew Carlson and Eric Clark were selected to the second team. For the Trojans, they had three players on the first team in the southwest district: pitcher Patrick Sheehey, catcher Matt Prill, and third baseman Josh Luna. Both Jesse Nichols and Zeb Adreon also were selected on the second team all-district. Twin Cedars lost to Newman Catholic in the Class 1A state semifinals and closed their season with a 36 – 3 record, while Pleasantville fell to the Sabers in the district finals and ended with a mark of 24 – 12.
