Two of Central’s sports teams are getting upgrades to their fields at the moment. New seating is going up on the soccer and baseball fields. Workers have recently starting moving dirt for the Hillside Seating Project for the Dutch soccer field. Permanent seating is going up on the east side of the pitch and should be completed by the end of the fall season. Central’s baseball team is getting new dugouts and facilities, too. In addition to the dugouts, new backstop netting is being installed, and both are slated to be ready for the spring campaign in 2014. Stadium seating will also be implemented behind home plate. It has been a busy fall for upgrades at Central, as these projects are coming on the heels of the new field turf on Central’s football field, their new video scoreboard, and the big Under Armour deal signed back in August.
