Knoxville finished sixth in the boys portion of the rescheduled Grinnell Cross Country Invitational yesterday. Coach Mike Moats said the boys ran well and was within 18 seconds of each other led by Preston Lee who crossed the line in 27th with a time of 18:56. On the the girls side, Courtney Hughs led Knoxville with a 28th place finish in a time of 17:26. Only three girls ran so Knoxville did not have enough runners to score. Moats added nearly ever runner dropped their times by a minute, some by three minutes. Knoxville heads to Oskaloosa on Tuesday.
