Dallas Center-Grimes put a damper on the Knoxville Homecoming by defeating the Panthers last night 28-0. It was a stalemate in the first quarter as the Mustangs and the Panthers were battling over field position which was being won by Knoxville, who pinned D-C-G at the one yard line early on. However the Mustangs would rip off an 82-yard touchdown run to go up 7-0 and the Mustangs owned the game from then on. Dallas Center-Grimes scored two more times to go up 21-0 at the half and added another score to make the final count 28-0. Knoxville Coach Troy Rider said his team started off well but could not take advantage of what was presented. Knoxville could only muster 96 yards of total offense led by Tanner Dunkin who gained 53 yards on 15 carries. Knoxville slips to 0-5 on the season and will get back to district play next Friday at Carlisle.
