An oh-and-two start does not have Knoxville Football hitting the panic button just yet. The Panthers came into the season with a lot of question marks and several young players that have never played or had very limited varsity minutes. Knoxville’s inability to stop Newton’s running game on Friday was a key contributor in the Panthers’ 42-28 loss. However, Coach Troy Rider says the mistakes are correctable by getting the defense to get in better position and not have as many missed tackles. Rider adds while he would rather be 2-0 than 0-2 to start the season, the first two games in essence mean nothing to the district race. That all changes this Friday when Knoxville travels to Winterset for the first game in class 3A district eight action.
