Twice during the match, the Panthers found themselves down big only to rally back and either tie or take the lead. In set three Knoxville trailed Grinnell 17-11, and then proceeded to go on a nine/four run to get back into the set and close it out a few minutes later. The same thing happened in set four down 16-13 and rallied tie it when Ricki Hall put down a block to tie the set. Coach Liz Sanders told KNIA/KRLS that not only Hall but also, several other players were responsible in getting the team back from adversity. Sanders added that she had been impressed by the toughness of the girls. Knoxville improves to 6-2 on the season and 1-0 in conference play. The Panthers will have a week off before their next match at Oskaloosa next Tuesday.
