Winning their first non-district game since 2010, Pleasantville’s football team is charged and ready for their home district opener against visiting Montezuma. The Braves defeated the Trojans last year, 39 – 0, and return two talented running backs to the field in 2013. Coach Gabe Bakker tells KNIA/KRLS Sports that Brock Busick is unlikely to play tonight due to an injury he suffered last week. In his place will be Gunnar Sampson who brings his own strengths to the table for Pleasantville. Tonight’s Class A District 6 opener will be streamed live on KNIAKRLS.com as Kris Krug and Ed Bull provide the play-by-play coverage. Pregame is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. with kickoff at seven.
