Conference volleyball continues tonight for four of our local schools. On the PCM end of things, they actually will be playing in their first Heart of Iowa contest this evening at Gilbert to begin a string of four straight league matches. The Mustangs enter play tonight at 1 – 4, while the Tigers are 6 – 6 overall with a 1 – 1 mark in the conference. Pleasantville is fresh off a tough loss to Martensdale – St. Mary’s on Tuesday; the Trojans won the first two games but lost some steam after a marathon third game loss. Tonight, the Trojans take on a Nodaway Valley that is 0 – 7 and have yet to win a single game in any of their matches against some stiff competition. Melcher-Dallas has only played Bluegrass Conference foes this season, and have a 2 – 0 record to show for it. Moravia comes into town to take them on, also sporting a 2 – 0 league mark with a 2 – 1 overall record. The Sabers of Twin Cedars are 0 – 2 right now and are home to play Moulton-Udell, who is also winless on the season. The Mustangs’ varsity team is schedule to begin tonight at 6:40, while the Saints and Sabers get going at around seven.
