Melcher-Dallas came away victorious and Twin Cedars tasted defeat for the first time this season last night in area Eight-Man football action. The Saints clobbered Tri-County 44 – 20. Coach Mike Horstman tells KNIA/KRLS Sports that Jacob Hoch had a big day on the ground, carrying the ball 32 times for 189 yards and two touchdowns, while quarterback Alex Mitchell threw for over 250 yards and three touchdowns. Over in Bussey, Twin Cedars fell to last year’s Eight-Man District 5 champions, H-L-V, 58 – 22. The Saints improve to 4 – 1 overall and 3 – 1 in the district while Twin Cedars drops to 5 – 1 and 3 – 1 in the same district. The Saints will host H-L-V this Friday and the Sabers will be at Seymour for Week Six contests.
