Twin Cedars will take a break from Eight-Man District 5 football this week and head to East Union, trying to start the season 4 – 0. The Sabers, who didn’t pick up their third win of the season in 2012 until Week 7, are flying high with a 3 – 0 record thanks to a high-powered and speedy offense. Senior Brent Parker has thrown for 800 yards this year, has connected for 16 touchdowns, and is the leading rusher on the team. East Union is 1 – 2 on the year and they have had several problems getting any offense going. The Sabers will perhaps look to stop Mike Ward, the Eagles’ leading rusher, with 160 yards on just 16 carries. Twin Cedars and East Union kickoff tonight at seven.
