It’s harvest time and Marion County Sheriff Jason Sandholdt asks for drivers to be cautious on our area roadways as slower moving farm vehicles are going to be moving to and from fields hauling grain. Sandholdt adds that because we haven’t had much rain this summer, our rock roads are very dusty, and that vision is easily impaired.

In related news, Governor Branstad signed a proclamation Friday to allow the transportation of overweight loads of soybeans, corn, hay, straw, silage and stover. The proclamation expires after 60 days.
