The Pleasantville Trojans fell to the Pekin Panthers on Friday night 49-23. After the Panthers darted to a 21-0 lead, the Trojans were able to put up 16 points to narrow the deficit to 28-16 at half but six Pleasantville turnovers allowed Pekin to pull away in the end. Senior Patrick Sheehey finished the night with six catches for 140 yards while Mac Moore ran for 84 yards on 10 carries and a touchdown to lead the Trojans’ ground game. Midway through the second quarter, sophomore quarterback Zeb Adreon would come in to replace starter Hagan Fouch. After the game, Head Coach Gabe Bakker talked about making the switch at quarterback. Pleasantville falls to 3-1 on the year and 0-2 in Class A District 6. The Trojans will be in action next Friday night for homecoming to take on the number one ranked BGM Bears.
