Mahaska County is the destination for both Twin Cedars’ and Pleasantville’s cross country teams this afternoon. The Sabers and Trojans get on the bus to Lake Keomah for a meet that for the time being is still on as scheduled. Unusually hot conditions have forced several cancellations for outside sporting events over the last few days, including some scary situations at Central College on Saturday. This is the second meet of the year for the Sabers, and Coach Alan Stewart would like to see his runners finish the race and keep a steady pace. The racing starts this afternoon at 4:45.
