Central volleyball almost pulled off the comeback last night over William Penn, but lost in five sets to the Statesmen, 22 – 25, 18 – 25, 25 – 18, 25 – 22, and 13 – 15. The Dutch’s offense sputtered in the first two games and had opportunities throughout the contest to win points, but the Statesmen kept coming up with key digs to keep the volley alive several times. Central falls to 2 – 4 on the year, and they’ll head north to St. Peter, Minnesota this weekend for four separate matches.
