The Knoxville Football Squad’s opponent this week is Carlisle. The Wildcats have a reputation of running the option which means the defense must play assignment football. Panthers Coach Troy Rider says staying focused for all four quarters is key to defending a style like Carlisle’s. He adds there will be lapses but the key is to minimize them as much as possible. Knoxville is coming off a 28-0 loss to Dallas Center-Grimes last week in non-district action and is 0-2 in District eight play. The Panthers are not out of the playoff hunt, last season the Panthers started oh-and-three in the district and was in position to get a postseason spot in week nine.
