Dubuque toppled both Central men’s and women’s soccer teams last night in a pair of Iowa Conference games. The Dutch women actually scored first against the Spartans but allowed four second period goals to fall 4 – 1. The Central men scored two goals in the final seven minutes of regulation to take a 2 – 1 lead, only to see Dubuque tie the game in the closing seconds and then win it in the opening seconds of overtime, 3 – 2. Central’s women fall to 7 – 3 – 1 overall and 0 – 1 – 1 in league play, while the men are 5 – 5 – 1 and 0 – 2 – 0 in the Iowa Conference. Central will each head to Cedar Rapids to play Coe for another conference match on Saturday.
