Pella Christian gets their journey to the Class 2A Regional Volleyball Tournament underway tonight at home against Cardinal of Eldon. The Eagles finished their regular season on Saturday, nearly winning the Knoxville tournament with wins over the Panthers, A-D-M, Perry and Grinnell. The Comets and Eagles have not faced one another this season; Cardinal of Eldon plays a considerably weaker schedule than Pella Christian, with games against Burlington-Notre Dame and Davis County highlighting their regular season. Coach Cindy Nikkel says in the final few weeks of the season they have been working on getting better both physically and mentally. Tonight’s game is scheduled to start at 7:00 p.m., with the winner moving on to play at Eddyville-Blakesburg in round two next Tuesday.
