An event this Saturday at the Pella Public Library will showcase Pella Hmong residents cultural arts and crafts. The event will serve as both an informative display to residents outside of the Hmong community, but also an educational tool for upcoming generations from within their culture. Artwork will be displayed at the library throughout the month of November, and a presentation will take place this Saturday at 10:30 am with local Hmong residents in attendance wearing traditional clothing. A video titled “Pella: A Place of Refuge” will also be shown highlighting the Hmong’s journey to south central Iowa.
