Trick or treaters will be out in Bussey and Tracy Thursday evening from 5:30 to 7:30. Knoxville and Melcher-Dallas Beggars Night is also Thursday, from 6 to 8. Lt. Aaron Fuller, with the Knoxville Police Department tells KNIA KRLS News that there will be extra patrol out on Thursday, to watch intersections, check speed and remind kids to be safe while out looking for candy. He also reminds everyone to inspect candy before eating it, and to toss anything that has been opened or torn.

Kids and their parents in Pella, Monroe, and Leighton will be out in massive numbers Thursday night. Trick or Treating events will be held in Pella and Monroe from 6pm to 8pm, while Leighton will start at 5:30pm and wrap up at 7:30pm. Pella Regional is also handing out candy in the Long Term Care Activity room from 6 pm to 7:30 pm. Lt. Paul Haase of the Pella Police Department says that motorists and candy grabbers alike need to pay extra attention when at corners and crosswalks.
