The Knoxville Panthers and Carlisle Wildcats started 90 minutes early to stay away from the threatening severe weather and for the Panthers, lightning struck early on the third place of the game as Gerrit Davis, getting his first start of the season, tossed a screen pass to Tanner Dunkin and Dunkin did the rest running 87 yards scoring the game’s first touchdown. After that, it was all Carlisle as the Wildcats scored the final 28 points of the game to win 28-7. Coach Troy Rider told KNIA/KRLS Sports that Knoxville was not able to adjust well enough to Carlisle’s adjustments.
