Roslin Thompson, director of Knoxville’s Public Library tells KNIA KRLS News that the Knoxville Heritage Foundation presented the library with a $15,000 check Monday. The Foundation pledged $45,000 in support of the library’s expansion project. This is the second of three checks in that pledge. Thompson said that they’ve purchased the house and plan to expand into the lot just west of the library. She adds that the library needs room for storage, and to create space for more reading, study and meeting rooms.
