Tied atop Class 3A District 8, Pella has two challenges in front of them tomorrow night. First and foremost, they must topple Norwalk. Second, the Little Dutch must forget about Oskaloosa, who is looming in Week Eight. The Warriors are a different team this season; they are without their quarterback from last year, Chase Onken, and star running back Kenny Floyd also left after graduation. However, the Warriors have Brady Brandsfield at quarterback, who, through six games, already has nearly twice as many touchdown passes as Onken did in all of last season. Pella head coach Jay McKinstrey says that Norwalk consistently brings physical and talented athletes to the field each year, and this season is no different. Norwalk is 3 – 3 on the season while Pella is 6 – 0, and the two teams will kick off at Pella High Stadium at 7:30 p.m.
