Norwalk was the textbook definition of a “scrappy” team last night, but it was Pella that fought hard with them in a four-set conference victory over the Warriors. Norwalk handed the Lady Dutch only their second conference game loss in a 20 – 25 final score in set one. The rest of the match was close until the final moments; game two was 25 – 17 Pella, then 25 – 21 and the closer was 25 – 19 in favor of the Lady Dutch. Kylie Roslien led Pella with 13 kills, Shannon Ewing and Jessica Holterhaus each had nine, and Makenna Bogaard had four ace serves. Pella is now 6 – 0 in the Little Hawkeye Conference, and 20 – 14 overall. Everything sets up perfectly for next Tuesday; Pella heads to Newton to face the Cardinals, who are 5 – 1 in the conference, with a league title on the line.
