Panorama hosts Pella Christian, PCM and 12 other schools for their Class 2A State Qualifying Cross Country Meet this afternoon. Panora’s “track” is actually on a golf course and is overall a challenging place to run, PCM Coach Eric Karr says. Karr adds that he’s heard varying opinions on whether or not they like the Panora course, but in the end, he tells his runners that it’s just another cross country course. Jocelyn Meinders, the head coach of Pella Christian cross country says that with her team facing bigger schools on a normal basis, running at the Class 2A state qualifying meet should allow her boys and girls to post some fairly fast times. The racing today gets started at 4:00 p.m.
