Knoxville, Pella and Pella Christian are among the schools vying for a Little Hawkeye Conference title this afternoon in Grinnell. Several of our conference coaches tell KNIA/KRLS Sports that the Grinnell course is one of the easier courses they run on; with few hills, and the only changes coming from long straightaways and several curves. Pella is considered to be the favorites to win on both the boys’ and girls’ sides; meanwhile, Pella Christian coach Jocelyn Meinders says that with all of the big schools and the depth they will bring to tomorrow’s meet, her goal overall for her teams is to not finish in dead last. The varsity conference meet is scheduled to begin at 5:00 p.m. this afternoon.
