Twin Cedars can lock themselves into the two-seed with a win tonight, and Melcher-Dallas must win to extend their season by at least one game in Eight-Man football District 5 action. The Sabers head to Thornburg to play Tri-County, the team they beat last year to get into the postseason on the final day. The Trojans lost to Meskwaki Settlement last week and eliminated themselves from postseason consideration. Even if Wayne beats H-L-V, Twin Cedars mathematically cannot end up as the number one seed. Over in Melcher-Dallas, the Saints and Meskwaki Settlement are each 3 – 3 in the district and each have the same point differential average. Thus, tonight’s game is for the fourth playoff spot out of district five. Both contests kick-off at seven.
