Van Meter ousted Pleasantville in the first round of the Class 2A regional volleyball tournament last night. The two schools fought hard, and the match went to five sets. Pleasantville won game one 25 – 19, but lost in games two and three 16 – 25 and 15 – 25. In a do-or-die game four, the Trojans prevailed 25 – 17, but fell in the winner-take-all fifth set, 7 – 15. Pleasantville finishes the season with a record of 15 – 13, which was a school record for wins in a season.
