If Pleasantville’s football team wants to end the season with another three-game winning streak, they will have to stop the tricky single-wing attack of English Valleys this evening. Sigourney-Keota being one of the notable teams that use it effectively, the Bears have had their struggles in executing; other than their 54 – 20 win over Southeast Warren, they have only scored 54 combined points in their other eight contests. Trojans’ coach, Gabe Bakker says he told his guys just to stick with the basics going up against a tricky offense. Brennen Grimm has been the primary ball-carrier, with over 900 yards on the ground this season. The Bears play a “Cover Two” defense to try and thwart the passing game, but leave themselves vulnerable in the ground game, which Coach Bakker says he hopes to take advantage of with Brock Busick and Gunnar Sampson. You can hear Pleasantville’s final football contest of 2013 live on KNIAKRLS.com with Kris Krug and Ed Bull on the call. Pregame starts at 6:30 p.m. with kick-off at seven.
