With double-digit improvement in wrestlers suited up for the Pella High wrestling team, the 2013 season for the Little Dutch will have higher expectations. Practices officially started yesterday for all boys sports in Iowa, and Coach Joe Burch says that his grapplers are ready to get things underway for preparation for their first meet of the season in a few weeks. With more bodies filling the green singlets for Burch, his team will have more depth at some weights, and will also be able to compete in weight classes that they weren’t able to last year because of the low numbers. Pella opens up their regular season on December 5, with a quad meet against Lynnville-Sully, English Valleys and Montezuma.
