The Central women’s basketball team had some hot hands last night, shooting nearly 50% from the field in their 95 – 78 win over Blackburn. Fifty of those points came off the hands of players from the bench, led by Kaitlin Stump who recorded a double-double: 21 points and ten rebounds. Bry Pierce, Kenzie Vander Molen and Rachel Evans also found double digits in the points column for the Dutch. Central improves to 2 – 0 on the year and will next play this Saturday in Forest City against Waldorf. Meanwhile, the men’s basketball team gets back to the court tonight, also looking to move to 2 – 0, when they host Eureka. You can hear that game live on under the Radio Audio Media Player with Cory Houser and Justin Webster on the call. Pregame coverage starts at 6:45 p.m. with tip-off scheduled for seven.
