The girls’ basketball season is less than a week away from tipping off for Pella High. The team has been practicing for over a week now, preparing for their first game and finalizing roster spots on the varsity squad. Lady Dutch head coach, Jerod Garland says he’s happy it’s basketball season again and he’s ready and rarin’ to go this Monday night. Returning this season are Jackie Sunderman, Mackenzie Gustafson and Jessica Holterhaus. Coach Garland says he expects some younger girls to step up and hopefully play a significant role on the team. Pella’s first game is this Monday at home against Des Moines North.
