The Knoxville Cross Country Squads finished off their seasons at the State Qualifying Meet a couple of weeks ago. The Panthers at the start of the season were not looked at as a team to threaten with a trip to the state meet. However, Coach Mike Moats says every season, his team always starts slow, and that is by design. Moats says last season…the boys were a solid team but not a team that outsiders thought would make the state meet. The Panthers did and placed high in the state meet. Moats adds while the goal is to win every meet, he says building for the “money meets” is the real goal.
