One area that needs to improve for the Knoxville Girls Basketball Squad is the field goal shooting. The Panthers ranked last in the Little Hawkeye Conference last season in both field goal and three point shooting. Coach Jim Utiermarkt was encouraged by the 60% shooting in Monday’s two quarters with B-G-M and hopes to average around 40% or better this season. Free throw shooting is also something that Utiermarkt hopes to improve upon as the Panthers shot 51% from the line last season. Knoxville opens up at home against P-C-M tomorrow night.
