The Pella High volleyball season came to an end last night in Carlisle, as Indianola was able to win in four sets over the Lady Dutch. The Indians came out ready to play in game one, taking a quick 6 – 2 lead before closing out on a 6 – 0 run to win 25 – 14. Set number two started the same way; the Indians getting out to an early lead. However, Pella would go into overdrive; down 11 – 15, Pella went on a 9 – 2 run to go up 20 – 17 and then held on to even the match with a 25 – 22 set win. It was all Indianola the rest of the way, winning games three and four 25 – 11 and 25 – 18. Jessica Holterhaus had a strong game with seven kills and six blocks, Shannon Ewing and Makenna Bogaard each had five kills, Regan Nelson had 20 assists, Mallory Lynch had two aces and Taelor Rempe came up with 23 digs. Pella finishes the 2013 volleyball season with a mark of 21 – 17.
