Eddyville-Blakesburg gave the Pleasantville girls’ basketball team an unwarm welcome last night, as the Rockets beat the Trojans 77 – 39. Coach Aaron Fichter tells KNIA/KRLS Sports that his girls seemed a little tight in the first quarter which allowed the Rockets to get off to a 19 – 1 lead. Fichter adds the girls were able to relax more as the game went on and got to play their game. Kennedy Core led the Trojans in scoring with 19 points, while Trisha Kunze threw in 14. Pleasantville starts their season 0 – 1 and will host Melcher-Dallas for a boys/girls doubleheader this Tuesday night.
