The Knoxville Cross Country Squad did not reach their goals of a state meet berth, however, Coach Mike Moats says the runners did their best. He says that is all you can ask for when preparing for a meet like the state qualifier which would be the Panthers final meet of the season. Moats tells KNIA/KRLS Sports the boys improved their times all through the season, while the girls made major strides all season long. He says the girls started off with just three on the varsity squad, but by the end of the season they had a full five and were outscoring several teams.
