With Talent Returning, Wilkins Stays Cautiously Optimistic

The Pleasantville boys’ basketball team had to part with a pair of talented senior starters after last season, but they bring back a boat load of equally-skilled players looking to improve on a 15-win, 2012-13 campaign. Trever Zoss, Josh Luna and Dylan Lauer, the team’s top three scorers last season, are back. Together, they averaged a little more than 44 points per game. Trojans’ Coach, Tom Wilkins says that he has heard several praise from other coaches about the team he has in front of him, but he’s deciding to stay “cautiously optimistic,” saying that his team still has to go out there and do their jobs. Pleasantville hosts Melcher-Dallas to begin their season this Tuesday night, in a game that will be heard live on
