Two different games and two different outcomes were had for the Central basketball teams on Saturday. The Dutch women survived a second half scare to hold off Presentation (South Dakota), 67 – 52. The Saints started the final 20 minutes with an 11 – 0 run to take the lead after Central had an eight point lead to end the first half. Three players were in double figures, including Rachel Evans, who had a game-high 16, Kaitlin Stump had 15 off the bench, and Kenzie Vander Molen threw in 14. Central’s men couldn’t recover from a 20 point first half deficit, and they fell to Dordt 98 – 76. Sam Markham was the team’s leading scorer with 12 points off the bench, and Kevin Kaerwer added 11.
