Tonight, the basketball schedule sends the Central men and women to two different locales with a difficult opponent awaiting them at each site. For the men, they’ll play arguably their toughest bout of the year with a game in Illinois against Augustana. Coach Craig Douma says that the Vikings are a highly touted program, but a victory tonight would be a huge step for the men’s basketball program at Central. The women will be staying at home this evening to take on William Penn. The Lady Statesmen have won their last three, but only four of their last 11 games and have a record of 7 – 5 (two of the losses were exhibition games that did not count towards standings). The Dutch women had their 6 – 0 start to the season fall short of moving to 7 – 0 at the hands of Martin Luther on Saturday, and hope to start a new streak tonight. You can hear the women’s game live on KNIAKRLS.com with Cory Houser and Justin Webster on the call. Pregame coverage starts at 6:45 p.m. with tip-off at 7:00.
