They may not have to face Western Christian this time around, but the Pella Christian basketball teams will still have their hands full when they face Unity Christian this afternoon. The Crusaders’ gals are 5 – 1 on the season, with all five wins coming with the team scoring at least 60 points. Pella Christian will have to avoid being taken to task by Kassidy De Jong and Anna Kiel, who combine for more than half of the team’s points per game. Unity Christian’s boys have six seniors on the squad and are 3 – 3 on the season while the Eagles are 4 – 3 and have tinkered with several different line-ups. Coach Larry Hessing says he’s still open to different possibilities. The Eagles’ girls tip-off first at 1:00 p.m. with the boys to play at around 2:30 at Dordt College.
