The efforts of Nate Haveman this past Tuesday helped Pella Christian’s boys tiptoe out of their gym with a 52 – 50 win over West Marshall in their season opener. The junior is listed as 6’3” on the Eagles’ roster, and though he doesn’t have much in the way of quickness, Coach Larry Hessing says that Haveman still is able to get the job done. Hessing adds his team will be looking to cut down on turnovers as they prepare for an early season test against Dallas Center-Grimes tomorrow night; the Eagles had over 20 for the game on Tuesday.
