Pella Christian’s basketball teams finished up arguably their toughest stretch of games this season two nights ago in Oskaloosa. The Eagles played four contests in five days, with two of them being over preseason ranked teams in PCM and Dallas Center-Grimes. Both Kevin Van Maanen and Larry Hessing tell KNIA/KRLS Sports that even with the grueling early season schedule, their players did not show signs of much fatigue. In fact, Coach Hessing went with a different line-up for a majority of the game against PCM and kept that same group as starters for Tuesday’s win over the Indians. Hessing says when they find a line-up that works well on the court, they stick with it. They had Sebastian Baugh come off the bench and he had one of his best games of the season, dumping in 20 points. The Eagles resume conference play tomorrow night when they host Newton in a boys’/girls’ doubleheader.
