Make it two in a row for the Knoxville Boys Basketball Squad as they defeated Oskaloosa last night in overtime 54-43. The Panthers and Indians were close with neither team leading by more than five points in regulation. Knoxville was down three, with 40 seconds remaining, got a three from Gerritt Davis to tie the game and then the Panthers shut out the Indians 11-0 in the extra session. Coach Jeff Larson told KNIA/KRLS Sports that early on the shots were not falling, but he had confidence in his team they would make the shots. Davis and Chase Higgenbotham scored 12 points to lead Knoxville who improves to 2-2 on the season and 1-1 in the Little Hawkeye Conference. The girls got a win over the Indians 49-31. Ashley Hawkshead and Ricki Hall led a balanced Panther attack with eight points each. Knoxville is 4-1 and 2-0 in the conference, the Panthers will travel to Chariton on Monday.
