The Knoxville Wrestling Squad hits the mat for the first time this season tonight when the Panthers travel to Newton for a dual meet. Knoxville comes in inexperienced in some weight classes, however coach Ron Peterson says the middle weights could be the strength of the team. He adds all of the guys have made progress in the preseason. Peterson says the wins may not show in the first part of the season, but is hopeful as the season goes on, the guys improve. He tells KNIA/KRLS the Little Hawkeye Conference will be balanced this season with no team the overwhelming favorite. Two grapplers are ranked in The Predicament’s preseason rankings. Kieran Robuck is tenth at 138 pounds and Tyler Chatterton is ranked eighth at 152 pounds.
