Knoxville’s Community Service Officer Arlene Worrall says that overall, Knoxville residents did a very good job of removing snow from their sidewalks, and keeping cars off the streets while city crews plowed the snow this week. She says as of Friday the city had received 9 complaints from residents of snow not being removed, so city crews had been dispatched to do the shoveling. Worrall would like to remind all residents it is the responsibility of the property owner to remove snow from the sidewalks in front of their houses; if city crews must do it, fees may be assessed. If you need help, call the police department at 828-0541, and she will get you in touch with someone who can help.
