Ranking 16th in points per game in Class 3A, the PCM girls’ basketball team is not just doing it with their shooting skills. The Mustangs are getting more opportunities to score due to their low turnover numbers. PCM has only turned the ball over 89 times in eight games to compile a 5 – 3 record. Those 89 turnovers are the fewest by any team in Class 3A that has played at least eight games. Coach Bret Grier says he’s extremely happy with how things are going in that department. After starting the season with a pair of tough losses, the Mustangs have rebounded to win five of their last six. They have rough waters ahead of them with a visit to North Polk coming up this Friday and another game with Nevada the following week.
