12-time Knoxville Nationals Winner Steve Kinser has announced 2014 will be his final season on the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series. Kinser has been racing sprint cars for nearly 40 years and decided that 2014 will be his last. Kinser’s list of accomplishments could take days to read, but some of the highlights are: Winning the World of Outlaws championship 20 times, and he is the all-time World of Outlaws A-Main winner with nearly 600. Kinser also qualified for the 1997 Indianapolis 500 where he finsihed 14th, spent a year on the NASCAR circuit in 1995 qualifying for the Daytona 500 that year finishing 40th, and he won a race on the International Race of Champions in 1994 at Talladega Superspeedway in Alabama. A “Salute to the King” campaign begins in Florida with the DIRTcar Nationals at Volusia Speedway Park in Barberville, Florida when the Outlaws kick off their 37th season in February.
