Averaging a bit over 18 turnovers per game, the Pella Christian boys’ basketball team has had a bit of a problem of giving the ball away during the first third of their regular season. Coach Larry Hessing says it comes down to executing the fundamentals and being better at ball-handling. When the Eagles do get a shot off on a possession, they are fairly effective with the ball; they are shooting just under 46% from the field through their first seven games and are fourth in the Little Hawkeye Conference in shooting effectiveness. The Eagles are 5 – 3 after beating Unity Christian this past Saturday at Dordt College.
