It was another undesirable doubleheader for the Melcher-Dallas basketball teams on Thursday, as both the boys and the girls teams were defeated by Southeast Warren. The Saints’ gals fell 56 – 34, and the boys lost 56 – 51, despite two players tallying a double-double effort. Chase Wetterling had 22 points and ten boards, while Brock Breese had 14 points and 12 rebounds. The girls drop to 2 – 4 overall while the boys are now 2 – 3, and they have a chance to redeem themselves with wins tonight over Iowa Christian Academy.
