Coach Jerod Garland of Pella High girls’ basketball is not necessarily happy with where his girls are at right now. The Lady Dutch are 4 – 4, and Garland says he’s not content with how his team is playing because he still believes they have their best basketball ahead of them. How do they keep on improving? Garland says the positive thoughts and work ethic on the court that his ladies are showing through practices and games will go a long way on their trek to a berth in the state tournament in February. Coach Garland adds that his girls get along very well with one another both on and off the court and it is also helping the team gel even more.
